Chi Town

My last DeafNation work trip to Chicago was this past weekend. Thursday morning began early with a 7 am flight to Atlanta and then onto Chicago. As Delta's Halloween gift to the crew, we all received unlimited free movies for the flight. I took advantage and watched The Great Gatsby. All the feedback I had heard about the show was negative; I was pleasantly surprised and thought the cinematography was excellent. I thought that they accurately depicted the key themes of the book with a new and creative angle. After arriving, we drove straight to Giordano's for a slice of deep-dish classic Chicago pizza. We braved the insane traffic/downpour and drove to Millennium Park for a few shots next to the Bean.

Jana and I next strolled down the theater district before the 7:30 pm Wicked performance. We window shopped, taking a few shots along the way. Wicked was the perfect show for Halloween night - many guests even arrived in their Halloween witch costumes! All-in-all it was a wonderful night!
